As a number of project partners are universities and other research institutions it is possible to assume that intensive research will be performed. The research will be concentrated into two areas:
- Technical solution (the base architecture that will allow the users to control any device of everyday use by means of virtually any input device available);
- Design of specific user interfaces, and their testing by users with mild cognitive disabilities or older persons.
While each individual issue has been solved in past projects, the benefit of the i2home project is the integral solution where all issues are solved in a simple way.
The I2HOME project is a major European effort in providing accessibility to mainstream home technologies for everybody where these technologies can help for a better way
of living.
